Phenomenotechnical artist

My artistic practice is nourished by a fascination with physical phenomena—both those meticulously generated through intricate experimental setups and those arising unbidden through the fortuitous interplay of materials and conditions in the quiet choreography of the everyday.

Since 2020, I study Transmedia Art in the class of Brigitte Kowanz and now Jakob Lena Knebl at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (Angewandte Wien)

Theoretical discourses around concepts such as phenomenon and phénoménotechnique, along with a fascination for science as a profoundly human cultural practice, shape the foundations of my work.
Daily immersion in experimental physics—where I study fragile and capricious phenomena, tediously lured into existence through elaborate instruments and meticulously refined protocols—renders these themes ever-present in my reflections.

My perception is attuned to the subtle: fine details spring to my eyes; I tend to grasp the particular before the general, and I often pick up on odd or unusual phenomena in mundane situations.
In my artistic research, I’m drawn to details and phenomena that escape ordinary perception—occurrences that emerge from everyday materials and fortuitous situations. A more recent line of inquiry focuses on manufactured phenomena using traditional painting materials such as acrylic, water, and light.

Observation and experimentation are my primary tools, taking shape in the form of photographic and video works, as well as installations and performances.
Often, one work builds upon another; I enjoy revisiting earlier projects to deepen my exploration and approach concepts from new perspectives.
